Arsenal £250,000 a-week star has no plans to leave club this summer

Arsenal skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang reportedly has no intention of departing from the club in the current transfer window.

The ex-Borussia Dortmund forward has only signed a new deal with the North London club in the summer of 2020, however, he had a 2020-21 campaign to forget with 10 goals in 29 Premier League appearences.

Personal issues and malaria also contributed to Gabon international forwards underwhelming season, however, he struggled for form in pre-season and was also forced to miss the North London giants’ opening-day loss to Brentford following to the illness, while Alexandre Lacazatte missed the game with the same reason.

A swap deal with La Liga giants, Barcelona involving Philippe Coutinho has been mooted, however, The Express reports that Aubameyang has no plans to end his Emirates stint just yet.

The report claims that links with Barcelona have been dismissed as ‘nonsense’, and former Dortmund forward wants to see out his deal at Arsenal and become a club legend.

The 32-year-old managed to found back of the net 85 times from 148 games in his time at Arsenal and is not planning to become a free agent until the end of the 2022-23 campaign.
