Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerin is set to depart from the club in the summer transfer window, according to the Fabrizio Romano.
The 26-year-old defender has often borne the brunt of criticism this season, and he is no longer Mikel Arteta’s first-choice right-back following the recent injury of Calum Chambers.
Cedric Soares has also restricted Spanish full-back playing time in North London this campaign, and the defender has been rumoured with moves to La Liga giants, Barcelona and Ligue 1 defending champions Paris Saint-Germain in the wake of his tumultuous campaign.
Now, Romano suggests that Bellerin will seek pastures new this summer, and while the North London club are intent on signing a new right-back, they are yet to identify any priority targets.
Romano adds that talks are yet to be held over former Real Madrid defender Achraf Hakimi, who has voiced his desire to remain at Inter Milan, while Brighton & Hove Albion’s Tariq Lamptey is not high on Arteta’s list either.
Foremr Barcelona defender has found back of the net once and assisted four more across all competitions this season, however, he has not featured in any of the Gunners last six Premier League games.
