Manchester City have ruled out the possibility of trying to sign Arsenal transfer target Isco from Real Madrid this month.

Isco’s future at Santiago Bernabeu appears to be up in the air, with current Real Madrid manager Santiago Solari yet to select the midfielder in a single La Liga starting lineup since his arrival.

The likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Juventus have all been linked with the 26-year-old, while Manchester City were also believed to be interested in his services.

Reports in Spain have claimed that Manchester City assistant Mikel Arteta has enquired about a possible deal, but ESPN FC claims that boss Pep Guardiola has no interest in signing the attacking midfielder.

The Citizens are not expected to make any new signings during the current transfer window, while ex-Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola is happy with his attacking midfield options and will look to bolster other areas of the team during the summer.

Isco was an unused sub during Madrid’s 2-1 win over Real Betis on Sunday, with Solari turning to new signing and former Man City youngster Brahim Diaz off the bench before the Spain international.
