Norwich City are reportedly prepared to let their star player Emiliano Buendia depart from the club amid persistent links with a move to Arsenal.
The Argentinian playmaker is set for another stint in the Premier League with Norwich during the 2021-22 season, as his 15 league goals and 17 assists helped the Canaries to secure the Championship title.
However, the Gunners are reportedly prepared to test Norwich’s resolve in the summer, with the North London giants eyeing a move for a new playmaker with both Marting Odegaard and Dani Ceballos likely to make a return to Real Madrid in the summer.
According to The Athletic, Norwich have accepted that the time is right for Emiliano Buendia to advance his career elsewhere, however, they are not prepared to sanction an exit on the cheap.
The report claims that Daniel Farke does not want to see the 24-year-old depart from the club for less than £40m, and the Gunners will have to fend off interest from Aston Villa and an unnamed European team to secure his services.
Buendia has managed to score one goal and seven assists in 36 Premier League games during the 2019-20 campaign, and his Norwich contract does not expire until 2024.
