Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur tracked Franck Kessie is yet to agree to a fresh long-term contract at AC Milan, having rejected an offer from the club.

I Rossoneri have been in talks for several months with Kessie over penning a new deal at the San Siro, with his existing contract set to end in June 2022.

With uncertainty surrounding Franck’s long-term future at the club, Kessie has been linked with a transfer away from AC Milan and Premier League giants Spurs and the Gunners are claimed to be potential destinations for the player.

But the Milan side see the midfielder playing an important role at the club going forward and are trying to renew his contract until the summer of 2026.

However, according to an Italian daily newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Ivorian is yet to agree to the terms proposed by the club’s hierarchy.

The African star is open to staying but is not satisfied with the €3m-a-year offer made by the Italian heavyweights.

The former Atalanta youngster wants to see the Serie A title-chasers return to the table with a better proposal.

His potential suitors may be encouraged by Stefano Pioli’s side’s inability to agree a new deal with Kessie so far.

Elsewhere, Leeds United are facing the Gunners at just the right time, according to Vinnie Jones who is tipping his old club to pick up all three points at the Emirates Stadium.

“Bielsa’s boys take on Arsenal this week and I reckon they’ve got the Gunners at the right time,” Vinnie said, as reported by Leeds Live.
