Arsenal considering move for La Liga midfielder with £35.8m release clause

Arsenal are reportedly planning to make an attempt to secure the services of Espanyol playmaker Marc Roca during the summer’s transfer window.

The 23-year-old is believed to depart from Catalan club ahead of the 2020-21 season following their relegation to the Segunda Division.

Bayern Munich have previously been credited with an interest in the Spanish giants, however, according to, the Gunners are also very much in the hunt for his signature.

The report suggests that the North London club could be tempted’ to move for the playmaker this summer as manager Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his options ahead of next campaign.

Roca is believed to have a €40m (£35.8m) release clause in his current contract at the RCDE Stadium, however, should be available for less following Espanyol’s surprising relegation.

The ex-Spain Under-21 international has found back of the net twice and provided three assists in 41 games for the White and Blues during the current campaign.

Meanwhile, Arsenal full-back , Hector Bellerin has been rumoured with a switch to La Liga with Sevilla and Valencia are keen on to sign him ahead of the 2020/21 season, while Real Madrid and PSG also eyeing a move for his signature.
