Missing out on the France international Dayot Upamecano, it appears Arsenal and Leicester City have now switched their attention to Valenciennes’s Ismael Doukoure.
The RB Leipzig centre-half, who will transfer to Bayern Munich this summer, started his career at Valenciennes in his homeland before moving to RB Salzburg back in 2015.
Well, the French side appears to be a factory for promising centre-halves, because both the Gunners and the Foxes are keeping an eye on Ismael Doukoure, a 17-year-old defender who already has 15 appearances with the senior team.
Strasbourg in France’s top tier are also on the case, according to Foot Mercato, while the aforementioned English sides are said to have their eye on the player who is already being compared to Bayern Munich-bound Dayot because of his precocity and position.
Currently under contract until June 2023, there is still time for him to grow at the Hainaut Stadium outfit, but Arsenal and Leicester City may have something to say about it.
In other news, Arsenal are understood to have joined a queue of at least five clubs who are keen on landing Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina this summer.
He has attracted scouts and spectators from other teams for his prolific displays this term, bagging 12 goals in 27 league matches for Fiorentina so far.
