Arsenal and Manchester United have been suffered a blow in their summer pursuit of Crystal Palace player Michael Olise.
He has had a brilliant breakthrough season at Selhurst Park, and naturally, this has drawn the interest of several Premier League clubs.
According to the Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils have been scouting him in recent months and The Sun state that the Gunners and Chelsea are also keen on the 20-year-old.
However, it is going to be difficult to prise the Englishman away from the Eagles this summer, and The Athletic are now saying that Olise is keen to stay at the club and conversations are already underway to renew his deal.
The plan for the contract is not to increase Michael’s wages but to insert a higher exit clause to try and deter interested clubs.
Partick Vieira’s side are planning on adding a buy-out clause which will see them pocket a record transfer sum for the club if the star was to move.
Interest in the talent is understandable, with the 20-year-old Olise managing two goals and five assists in just 12 top-flight starts this season.
The Londoners signed Olise from the EFL Championship outfit Reading, where the starlet contributed 12 assists and seven goals throughout the season in the division.
