Arsenal are allegedly part of a four-way transfer battle for Wigan Athletic’s hotshot Kyle Joseph.
And the north Londoners will battle it out with city rivals Tottenham to land the 19-year-old Scotsman this summer.
He has made a huge impact for the League One side since making his debut for the club in October.
The ace has scored five goals in 14 games for his side. Kyle grabbed his first for the Latics in the win against Sunderland in December.
And he impressed the ever-increasing host of scouts by firing a hat-trick versus Burton shortly afterwards.
Now the Daily Mirror states Mikel Arteta’s team are among a number of sides plotting a summer swoop.
They claim Arsenal ‘have been tracking Joseph’s progress for some time’. Although the club face stiff competition to secure the player’s signature.
As well as interest from the PL and the Championship, Old Firm enemies Celtic and Rangers also want the ace.
The Scotland U19 international’s current deal expires in June.
Wigan have offered the talent a new deal but the London-born attacker is waiting to see what his options are.
If Joseph decides to quit the club, the Latics will be entitled to compensation for the forward.
Elsewhere, Arsenal icon Martin Keown has boldly stated that Emile Smith Rowe could go on to be as good as Portuguese living legend and five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo.
Emile boasts two goals and six assists in all competitions this term and Keown hasn’t been afraid to sing the talent’s praises.
He trudged off the pitch on Sunday against Leicester City, it was pointed out that Emile’s replacement made his Real Madrid debut as a substitute for Cristiano.
This comment prompted Gunners legend Keown to compare Arsenal’s gifted playmaker to Ronaldo, saying: “Isn’t that good yet, but he might be in the future.”
