Arsenal are reportedly willing lure Spanish playmaker Santi Cazorla back at the Emirates Stadium.
Earlier in his career, Spaniard has enjoyed a six-year spell with the North London club, one which was hindered by a persistent injury crisis.
Santi Cazorla eventually left for Villarreal back in 2018 without being able to say a formal goodbye to the Premier League team.
However, according to the Evening Standard, the Gunners are open to holding discussions with the 35-year-old Spain international midfielder over a return of some kind.
As it stands, it is unclear whether the veteran midfielder would be provided with a testimonial game or an active role in Arteta’s starting XI.
Cazorla and his Spanish compatriot were teammates at Arsenal before Arteta’s retirement back in 2016.
Meanwhile, Napoli attacker Arkadiusz Milik has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
Since linking up with the Serie A giants back in 2016, Milik has found back of the net 46 times from 108 games in all competitions.
A dozen of those strikes have come during the current season – a return which has led to an interest in his services from elsewhere.
According to Calcio Napoli 24, Tottenham and the North London club are contemplating launching a bid for the 26-year-old during the upcoming summer transfer window.
