According to the French media outlets, Arsenal have made an approach to Tiemoue Bakayoko’s agent over a potential summer transfer deal for the Monaco’s highly-demanded midfielder.
The reports from Le10 Sport suggest that the Gunners have registered their interest in the French midfielder after holding talks with the player’s representative.
It is also believed that other Premier League top clubs, including Chelsea and Manchester City have already made an approach for the 22-year-old talented youngster and will make their moves at the end of the campaign.
Bakayoko, who has been one of the key players in Monaco’s season, is reportedly valued at around €30m (£25.5m) by the French club.
The midfielder has been offered a new contract deal by AS Monaco but the defensive midfielder has rejected the proposal from the Ligue 1 leaders.
Bakayoko had attracted interest in the January transfer window but insisted that he would see out the season with Monaco.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have to face tough competition from Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in the race to sign Celtic’s highly-demanded striker Moussa Dembele in summer.
The 20-year-old in-form hitman has been heavily liked with a host of top European top clubs after a stunning run for the Scottish giants.
