Arsenal could be about to miss out on a deal to secure services of promising youngster Wesley from Belgian club Club Brugge, with the forward has opened talks with Serie A giants Lazio.
According to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, as cited on Calciomercato, the Gunners long-term target is quoted saying that Lazio could be a good move for his career,
“Maybe there will be a new chance, Lazio is a great club on the world stage, but for now I think only of Bruges and the first goal in the Champions League.”
The talented Brazilian is a player that the Gunners have reportedly got their eye on, with scouts watching him closely in the recent months.
His performances for the Belgian club have clearly not gone unnoticed as hosts of European teams are ready to fight for his signature.
Lazio are also in the running for his head and would be able to guarantee the player regular first-team football something that the Gunners won’t be able to offer following their stong squad.
Previous reports have suggested that both PSG and Borussia Dortmund are also in the market for Brazilian wonderkid.
