Arsenal reportedly have no interest in securing the services of Borussia Dortmund midfield star Julian Brandt.
The 24-year-old playmaker was believed to be one of the North London club’s creative targets in the winter transfer window, however, they have since welcomed Martin Odegaard to the team on loan from La Liga giants Real Madrid.
Brandt has struggled for consistent starts in the Germany top-tier this season, however, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Germany international was never close to making a switch to the English top-tier.
Romano adds that Brandt will stay at the Signal Iduna Park – where he is tied down to until 2024 – for at least the next six months, however, a future on his decision is set to be made once the season is over.
The ex-Bayer Leverkusen man has only managed one goal and one assist in the 2020-21 top-flight season, although he has played the full 90 minutes in Germany’s last three Bundesliga games.
Odegaard signed a loan deal at the Emirates Stadium despite the Gunners interest in Emiliano Buendia, and the Norwich City forward looks to be remaining put Carrow Road even after the North London club had reportedly made contact with his agent.
