Arsenal would reportedly move for Maurizio Sarri if they opted to part ways with Spanish tactician Mikel Arteta later in the season.
While the Spaniard is not under any immediate pressure, the North London club sit in 14th spot in the Premier League standings after five loss in 10 games.
Although the North London giants are only five points ahead of the Champions League places, Arteta’s style of play has been criticised by many of the teams fans.
According to StadioSport, club officials have already identified former Chelsea boss, Sarri as a possible replacement for the Spaniard.
Despite winning the Europa League with the West London club and Serie A at Juventus, the Italian failed to win over fans at either of those teams and Arsenal could give him another chance to settle in the Premier League.
The Italian, who was sacked in both cases after just one campaign, is currently available after his exit from the latter in the summer.
Arsenal also kept close tabs on former Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino, however, Argentine himself has revealed that he would never manage the Gunners due to his love for the Spurs.
