Liverpool are reportedly weighing up an approach for AC Milan defensive midfielder Franck Kessie.
The 24-year-old’s current contract at San Siro is set to expire next June, and a number of teams, including Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, continue to be credited with an interest in his services.
The playmaker was in impressive form at club level last season, founding back of the net 14 times and providing six assists in 50 games in all competitions, with 13 of his goals coming in the Italian top-tier.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Merseyside Reds and the Gunners are considering making an offer for Kessie, as Jurgen Klopp look to bring in a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum, who departed for PSG, while Arsenal are in the market for a replacement to Martin Odegaard and Dani Ceballos.
Kessie is currently on international duty with the Ivory Coast at the Tokyo Olympics, and a decision on his future is not expected to be made until after the Games have finished.
Earlier this summer, the Ivorian’s representatives revealed that teams from Premier League were interested in securing the services of his client during this summer’s transfer window.
