Arsenal are allegedly plotting a swoop for Club Brugge playmaker Noa Lang.
Brugge brought in the star on an initial loan deal from Ajax last year and the attacking midfielder played an important role to help the club win the Jupiler Pro League title, registering 16 goals and seven assists across an eye-catching season.
The Belgian champions saw off strong competition to land Lang on a permanent basis in the summer transfer market and the 22-year-old has hit the ground running this term with three goals and four assists.
According to Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, Noa’s performances haven’t gone unnoticed among Europe’s elite, with the Gunners and AC Milan among Lang’s many admirers.
The Belgians are in no rush to sell the Netherlands youth international, though, and have slapped a €40 million (£34 million) price tag on their prized asset as they prepare to be bombarded with proposals.
The Dutchman is tied to his club until 2025 after putting pen to paper on a long-term contract at the Jan Breydel Stadium.
Last month, Noa was named man of the match after a brilliant display in Brugge’s 1-1 draw at home to Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League group stage.
