Chelsea have reportedly made contact with the agent of Inter Milan defender Achraf Hakimi to discuss a potential deal for the Inter Milan full-back during the summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old enjoyed a stunning 2020-21 season for his Italian giants, founding back of the net seven times and providing 11 assists in 45 games in all competitions.
Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain have been heavily linked with the Morocco international, while a recent report suggested that the Blues had joined the hunt for his services.
According to Goal, Thomas Tuchel’s team have been in touch with Hakimi’s representative Alejandro Camano and his Serie A team, as the Premier League outfit look to secure a deal ahead of next campaign.
The report suggests that the Blues are willing to pay £56m for the full-back, however, Inter, who have financial problems, are believed to value him closer to £70m.
Hakimi – also recently rumoured with Arsenal – still has four years left to run on his current deal at San Siro.
Inter Milan forward Romelu Lukaku has been also rumoured with a switch to Stamford Bridge, however, Belgian forward recently revealed his desire to remain at San Siro.
