Tammy Abraham has failed to rule out the prospect of signing for Arsenal but says he is happy playing week in, week out at Roma.

The 24-year-old star joined the Serie A outfit in a £34 million deal last year after struggling to become a regular starter at Chelsea.

He has impressed in his maiden season at I Giallorossi, scoring 24 times across all competitions thus far and breaking club icon Gabriel Batistuta’s record for the most goals netted in a debut season for the Italian side, which the Argentine attacker set in 2001.

Tammy has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium club this summer with manager Mikel Arteta intent on landing at least one new No.9.

‘For me to be doing what I’m doing now for a great club like Roma, I can’t really describe the feeling,’ he said when quizzed about his future.

‘Coming off the back of a difficult season at Chelsea where I wasn’t really playing games, coming here and shining, it’s like a dream come true for me.

‘I’m happy playing my football. Of course, you hear the little rumours here and there, different people interested, clearly for me I’m doing the right thing if people are watching.

‘I was born and raised in England, so of course there are many rumours here and there that there’s clubs interested. Like I said, I’m clearly doing something right at Roma if people are interested.

‘I just have to stay focused, keep doing my thing, keep playing my football, focus on this competition, where we finish in the league, and we’ll see what happens in the future.’
