Arsenal in pole position to sign 24-year-old Serbian forward

Arsenal target Luka Jovic has allegedly been left ‘fed up’ at the La Liga club Real Madrid, a situation not helped by the player’s latest snub at the weekend.

In spite of not making a single top-flight start all season, the 24-year-old star would have hoped to play against arch-rivals Barcelona on Sunday when it emerged that first-choice striker Karim Benzema would miss the match at the Santiago Bernabeu.

However, not only did the Serbian star not start the contest, but the Gunners target also failed to be involved as a substitute, a clear sign that head coach Carlo Ancelotti does not see his player in his long-term plans.

According to a recent report from a Spanish publication Marca, the forward has become increasingly disillusioned at the Galacticos having played just 396 minutes in the country’s first-tier and the UEFA Champions League this term.

While the report continues, by saying that no discussions have been held with other outfits, all parties are understood to be interested in engineering a departure later this year.

Mikel Arteta’s side, AC Milan and Everton are all named as possible destinations after reportedly expressing an interest in the winter.
