Premier League giants Arsenal have reportedly entered talks with AS Roma over a potential swap deal involving Mkhitaryan and Dutch winger Justin Kluivert.
Mkhitaryan has spent this campaing on loan at AS Roma and has managed to found back of the net six times and provided three assists from 13 games in the Serie A.
Paulo Fonseca’s side are believed to be keen for Armenian attacker to stay in Italy on a permanent basis, and AS Roma may look to use the Gunners supposed interest in Kluivert and offer Mikel Arteta’s side swap deal.
Corriere della Sera claims that the two parties have begun talks regarding a potential swap deal in a move and super agent Mino Raiola has been also involved in it.
However, the report suggests that the Norht London club want a straight swap for Justin Kluivert, whereas AS Roma are holding out for a contract which includes a cash sum as well as Mkhitaryan.
The Dutch winger has scored seven goals and added two assists for Roma across all competitions this season, and Kuiver is under contract with the Serie A giants until 2023.
AS Roma are also keen on to keep Chris Smalling on a permanent basis ahead of the next season.
