Arsenal have reportedly made contact with the agent of Norwich City midfielder Emiliano Buendia.
The North London club’ pursuit of a new creative playmaker is well-documented, especially with Mesut Ozil is on his way to Turkish giants Fenerbahce after posting a picture of himself with Turkish giants scarf yesterday.
Arsenal have long-been rumoured with a move for the £40m-rated South American midfielder, and a swap deal involving out-of-favour starlets Joe Willock and Reiss Nelson has been mooted.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the North London club are indeed interested in securing the services of the Norwich man, and they have touched base with the Argentine’s entourage.
However, Romano also reports that the Canaries are yet to receive a concrete bid for Buendia, who has affirmed that he is “very happy” at Carrow Road despite frequent rumours with a move to North London.
The 24-year-old, who has managed to found back of the net seven goals and provided seven assists in the current Championship season, is also believed to have garnered interest from La Liga giants Valencia.
