Arsenal could reportedly allow their first-team star Alexandre Lacazette to make the switch to Atletico Madrid in the summer with Thomas Lemar potentially making a move in the opposite direction.
The financial impact from the coronavirus outbreak means that teams are likely to have to explore the swap market ahead of the upcoming 2020/21 season.
The North London club were rumoured with Thomas Lemar during the winter transfer window, and a report last month suggested that the capital outfit were still interested in securing the services of the 24-year-old.
Lemar has failed to found back of the net or register an assist in 24 games for Diego Simeone’s side this campaign, however, impressed for Ligue 1 giants, AS Monaco before arriving in Spain.
Lacazette, meanwhile, could allegedly be surplus to requirements at the North London club this summer as head coach Mikel Arteta looks to freshen his attacking options ahead of the next campaign.
According to Fichajes, the Gunners are considering offering Lacazette to Atletico in a straight swap for another French attacker, Thomas Lemar, who has also recently been rumoured with a switch to Manchester United.
Mikel Arteta’s side are also allegedly interested in securing the services of another Atletico Madrid star Thomas Partey.
