French news outlet WIW Sport have stated that Everton are desperate to bring Stade Rennais pacy forward Ismaila Sarr to Goodison Park before the end of the January transfer market.

Still only 20 years of age, fleet-footed Ismaila has been linked with a whole number of Premier League clubs since bursting onto the scene with Stade Rennes. He has continued his electric form this campaign.

The 20-time Senegal international has netted nine goals and created six more in his 28 league and cup outings this campaign, playing up front or on either side of the attack. Sarr is regarded as one of the best, up-and-coming talents in Ligue 1.

Back in December, Le Quotidien stated that Crystal Palace were keen to land Sarr, and had been quoted a fee of £26 million to sign the energetic winger. Now Everton could make their swoop before Thursday’s 11pm deadline.

The report states Everton are very interested in the player, describing the Toffees’ interest as ‘more than ever’. The Merseyside giants are said to have sent scouts to watch Sarr play versus Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday night.
