According to German publication BILD, RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano considers the Premier League as his dream destination, the star remains no closer to extending his current deal that expires in 2021.

BILD add that the 21-year-would be available for €60m (£50m) during the summer transfer window, with Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Barcelona amongst the top teams eyeing the move for Frenchman.

The report also claims that the Gunners failed with a €60m (£50m) for the Frenchman earlier last summer, and now they could finally get their deal done.

Upamecano has played 24 games across all competitions for Leipzig this campaign.

The Frenchman has established himself as one of of the best defenders in the Bundesliga and would be a perfect addition to the Gunners.

Mikel Arteta’s side will have the chance to closely monitor Upamecano when RB Leipzig face Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League.

The Gunners defence has looked terrible since the final years of Arsene Wenger’s reign, their backline could be seriously lifted by securing the services of a talent like Upamecano.

The French defender apparent dream to play in the English top-tier could give Mikel Arteta’s side the edge in a battle with top foreign teams for his signature.
