Arsenal have put AS Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan at the top of their list of transfer targets for the upcoming summer transfer window.
Nainggolan has been a top transfer target for Manchester United and Chelsea since the last summer and they are still keen on to lure him away from Stadio Olimpico.
The Belgium international midfielder was one of very few Roma players to shine against Liverpool in 5-2 loss to Champions League semi-finals.
Arsenal look likely to lose Jack Wilshere for free next season and they are keen on to sign a new central midfielder this summer.
Wales International midfielder Aaron Ramsey has been in excellent form, however, he also could be on his way out of the Emirates Stadium if the club chooses to cash in on his signature.
Nainggolan could be tempted to sign for Arsenal ahead of Man Utd and Chelsea as he says he likes to take a harder path to claim the trophies.
Earlier this month, he admitted: “I’ve never won anything, but I think that for those who know me, I’ve always played to win.
“Sometimes I prefer to take the hardest path. It would be too easy to go to a winning team and win.
“For me, it’s better to be a leading light for a less-favoured team and win with them.
“I chose Roma for that reason too. It’s an important club, and a club like Roma deserve to win something important.”
The 29-year-old midfielder who has been valued at £45m he is highly-rated by Luis Enrique who has been favourite to replace Arsene Wenger.
