Arsenal planning to increase release clause of in-form English forward

Bukayo Saka is unwilling to commit to a new deal with Arsenal without a buy-out clause being included.

The forward has enjoyed another brilliant season in north London with the Gunners poised to tie him down to a fresh long-term contract.

He has a year left on his present deal at the Emirates with the option to renew that by a further one year.

Formal talks are likely to take place with his agents at the end of the term and while he is content at the club, the Englishman is eager to test himself in the UEFA Champions League.

The Mail state that when the 20-year-old enters talks over a renewal he’ll be reluctant to pledge his future to his boyhood club without ‘an exit strategy.’

While exit clauses are extremely rare in English football, the capital side could find themselves under pressure to insert one and could be forced to make an exception for once.

The club were closing in on a return to the UCL but back-to-back defeats to Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United have left Antonio Conte’s men in control heading into the final day of the term.
