Mesut Ozil’s entourage says he is ‘really happy’ at Arsenal but has refused to rule out the possibility of his client joining Fenerbahce once his current deal expires.

German attacking midfielder Ozil has made more than 250 appearances for Arsenal since signing from Real Madrid back in 2013.

Ozil has helped his side win three FA Cups and reach last campaign’s Europa League final, although his influence at the club appears to be waning.

The 31-year-old will have just one year remaining on his current Arsenal deal come the summer and has been tipped to join Fener by some media outlets.

Mesut has strong ties with the Turkish side and his agent, Erkut Sogut, told Goal: ‘You never know in football. First of all, you can never predict the movement of players.

‘I have said it before and I am saying it again that he [Ozil] is really happy where he is at Arsenal. He is still has a contract to go and there is no change.

‘We will see what the future holds when the contract ends but for now, there is nothing I can say.’

In other news, Arsenal are allegedly keen on a deal for La Liga outfit Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler.

The 23-year-old star has registered 11 goals in La Liga for his side since 2016, and has made 18 league appearances for Los Murcielagos this season.

According to Sky Sports News, Gunners manager Mikel Arteta is a keen admirer of his Spanish counterpart, although a move for the midfielder could be hindered by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
