Arsenal are reportedly open to allowing English forward Eddie Nketiah to depart from the club in the summer.
The 21-year-old has played 25 games for the North London club during the 2020-21 season, founding back of the net five times, while he has been involved on 15 times in the Premier League.
Nketiah has only featured in one of his side’s last 10 league games, though, and seemingly faces an uphill battle to work his way into Mikel Arteta’s first-team plans.
The Englishman’s current deal at the Emirates Stadium is set to expire in June 2022, and according to the Evening Standard, the Gunners are open to selling him in the upcoming market.
The report suggests that a new deal for Folarin Balogun could push Nketiah further down the pecking order, and West Ham United are believed to be interested in a deal.
The West London club are keen to sign at least one new forward in the summer and have now seemingly been given a boost in their pursuit of the ex-Chelsea starlet.
Nketiah, who previously spent time on loan at Leeds United, has found back of the net 12 times in 61 games for Arsenal in all competitions.
