Arsenal are reportedly planning to make an approach for Napoli playmaker Jorginho during the summer transfer window with Arsene Wenger is preparing for his life without Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.
The future of the Gunners key attacking duo has long been in a doubt.
Both Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil have one year remaining on their deals and yet to sit on the table to negotiate over a contract extension.
According to Tuttomercato, the Gunners could now turn their sights to Napoli’s 25-year-old playmaker Jorginho, following an impressive run at Napoli having signed for them back in 2014 from Verona.
Jorginho, who is eligible for both Italy and Brazil at international level, he has been contracted with Napoli until 2020, leaving it to be speculated that the Serie A leaders will be unlikely to consider a sale of their key player/
Jorginho has made 104 appearances for Napoli since his arrival from Verona three years ago and established himself as one of the key players for Mauricio Sarris squad.
The Gunners have been also disappointed with the poor form of Granit Xhaka and signing a new midfielder for the next campaign could be crucial for Arsene Wenger.
