Almost Done: Arsenal agreed on personal terms with £250,000 a-week Barcelona star

Arsenal have reportedly agreed on personal terms with Brazilian playmaker Philippe Coutinho ahead of a proposed move to the Emirates Stadium in the summer.

The Brazil international is still on loan at German champions, Bayern Munich, however, is due to return to parent team Barcelona after the Bavarians end their participation in the Champions League.

South American forward is allegedly surplus to requirements at the Catalan club, though, and the rumours surrounding a potential move to the Emirates Stadium has gathered pace in recent days.

According to Catalan Sport, the North London club have now agreed on personal terms with the South American, who is set to arrive at the Emirates Stadium and spent a loan deal at the club.

The 28-year-old has been in fine form for Bayern this campaign, founding back of the net nine times and providing eight assists in 34 games in all competitions.

Meanwhile, Coutinho scored 41 times in 152 Premier League games during his time with Liverpool and undoubtedly his best form he has shown in the English top-tier.

Coutinho currently earns £250,000 per week at Nou Camp and the reports suggest that Arsenal will have to pay it fully if the Catalans agree to sent him at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal planning surprise move for 25-year-old Marseille midfielder

Marseille midfield star Morgan Sanson has reportedly emerged as a shock transfer target for Arsenal.

Despite the financial restrictions allegedly in place at North London club, it was recently suggested that Mikel Arteta may be given the freedom to make additions to several teams.

According to Le 10 Sport, that has led to Arsenal making contact with Ligue 1 giants Marseille regarding the availability of their star player, Sanson.

While the 25-year-old is regarded as a vital player at the Stade Velodrome, the French giants are prepared to listen to offers following to the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic.

Sanson also has just two years left on his current deal, putting Ligue 1 outfits in a position where they may look to maximise any transfer fee.

Tottenham Hotspur, Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham United have been rumoured with the player in the past.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are contemplating whether to make another move for Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha, according to the reports.

On more than one occasion, the North London club have been strongly linked with the Ivory Coast international, only for the Eagles to stand firm with regards to their price tag.

However, given the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic, Crystal Palace may be forced to reconsider his future at the club.

Atletico Madrid planning an ambitious move for Arsenal midfield destroyer

Atletico Madrid are reportedly determined to secure the services of Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira this summer.

Los Rojiblancos missed out on the Uruguay international back in 2018 when he instead elected to join the North London club in a £26m move from Sampdoria.

Torreira was a big hit at the Emirates Stadium in his first campaign at the club, however, has fallen out of favour this season, starting only two games since the restart of the season.

La Gazzetta dello Sport suggests that the 24-year-old may now be on his way out of from the Emirates Stadium, with Atleti ahead of Fiorentina in the queue to sign him.

Speaking earlier this week, Torreira has dropped a hint that he would be willing to depart from the North London club if it means securing more regular minutes elsewhere.

‘I have a contract with the club and I have to respect it, obviously, if I have to leave it will be for the best,’ Torreira told radio station Sport 980.

Arsenal another star Matteo Guendousi has been rumoured with a departure from the Emirates Stadium with Barcelona are believed to be interested to lure him at Nou Camp and they are ready to involve Ivan Rakitic or Arturo Vidal in any deal.
