Arsenal ready to listen offers for 21-year-old forward

Arsenal are reportedly open to allowing English forward Eddie Nketiah to depart from the club in the summer.

The 21-year-old has played 25 games for the North London club during the 2020-21 season, founding back of the net five times, while he has been involved on 15 times in the Premier League.

Nketiah has only featured in one of his side’s last 10 league games, though, and seemingly faces an uphill battle to work his way into Mikel Arteta’s first-team plans.

The Englishman’s current deal at the Emirates Stadium is set to expire in June 2022, and according to the Evening Standard, the Gunners are open to selling him in the upcoming market.

The report suggests that a new deal for Folarin Balogun could push Nketiah further down the pecking order, and West Ham United are believed to be interested in a deal.

The West London club are keen to sign at least one new forward in the summer and have now seemingly been given a boost in their pursuit of the ex-Chelsea starlet.

Nketiah, who previously spent time on loan at Leeds United, has found back of the net 12 times in 61 games for Arsenal in all competitions.

Arsenal and Tottenham eyeing move for Serie A No.14 forward

Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal could reportedly go head to head in the race to secure services of Napoli long-serving forward Dries Mertens during this upcoming summer transfer window.

The 33-year-old signed a new contract with the Serie A giants last June, and he has been a regular during the 2020-21 season, playing 30 games in all competitions, founding back of the net nine times and provided eight assists in the process.

However, according to Voetbal 24, the Serie A heavyweights are keen to make a move Belgian forward off their wage bill this summer.

The report claims that North London giants the Spurs and the Gunners are both interested in recruiting the Belgium international to the Premier League in the upcoming transfer market.

Mertens has scored eight goals and provided seven assists in 21 Serie A appearances this term, however, he has struggled with an ankle problem during stages of the season.

The Belgian attacker has managed to found back of the net 134 times and provided 86 assists in 352 appearances for Napoli since joining the team from Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven back in 2013.

Tottenham and Arsenal are also both planning move for Norwich City right-back Max Aarons.

Arsenal in danger to miss out signing of 22-year-old Real Madrid midfielder

Real Madrid reportedly have no intention of selling 22-year-old Norwegian midifelder, Martin Odegaard when the transfer window will be re-opened in the summer.

Having failed to make an impact during the first half of the campaign, Norway international was allowed to link up with the Gunners for the rest of the season.

The Norway international has impressed during his 13 games for the North London club, leading to rumours regarding a permanent move to the Emirates Stadium.

However, according to Marca, Real Madrid have no desire to cash in on the 22-year-old playmaker.

The report claims that the on loanee Gunners midifelder features in the club’s long-term plans alongside with young core Vinicius Junior, Federico Valverde and Rodrygo Goes.

Odegaard has just over two years left on his current deal at the Bernabeu and Spanish giants are in a good positions to negotiate about his future.

Meanwhile, Liverpool and Arsenal are reportedly interested in securing the services of Red Bull Salzburg forward Patson Daka, and the player’s agent has now claimed “it’s time for a new challenge” giving the boost to Premier League giants.

Last month, Salzburger Nachrichten claimed that Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal all have shown interest in his signature.

The 22-year-old forward has been in stunning forward as he has managed to found back of the net 30 times and added 10 assists in 33 appearances for Salzburg this campaign.
