24-year-old Spanish midfielder drops hint about his future at Arsenal

Arsenal midfielder Dani Ceballos has admitted that he is keen to make a return to La Liga for the 2021-22 season as he ‘likes it a lot more than the Premier League’.

The 24-year-old has been on loan with the Gunners from Los Blancos since July 2019, playing 74 games for Mikel Arteta’s side in all competitions, playing 37 games during the 2020-21 season.

The midfielder has largely struggled to cement his place at the Emirates Stadium this season, though, and he has now all but ruled out remaining with Mikel Arteta’s team beyond the end of the season.

“I’ve had a bad time because I didn’t have the consistency I had last year. These last five or six games I’ve played at a good level,” Ceballos told Onda Cero.

“To be honest I like La Liga a lot more. The Premier League is more complete but with my style, La Liga is much better for me. Another loan would be difficult from both sides, for Real Madrid and for me.”

Ceballos, who has provided three assists in 23 Premier League games during the 2020-21 season, has a deal at the Bernabeu until June 2023.

Martin Odegaard is yet to make a decision about his future with Arsenal keen on to extend his loan stay at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal eyeing move for Young Boys 23-year-old defender

Young Boys defender Mohamed Ali Camara is reportedly attracting interest from Premier League giants Arsenal and Liverpool.

The 23-year-old defender has spent the past three campaigns with the Swiss giants and has helped the team to a clean sweep of league trophies in that period.

According to TEAMtalk, Camara’s fine form has caught the attention of Arsenal and Liverpool, as well as fellow English teams West Ham United and Crystal Palace.

Camara, capped just once by Guinea at senior international level, has another campaign to run on his deal at the Wankdorf Stadium.

The same report claims that Jean-Pierre Nsame and Moumi Ngamaleu, who also ply their trade for Young Boys, are two others being keeping tabs on by Premier League teams.

Meanwhile, Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele has reportedly emerged as a surprise transfer target for Premier League giants Liverpool and Arsenal.

The 23-year-old is currently enjoying his best season at Camp Nou, founding back of the net 10 times from his 36 games in all competitions.

However, despite the France international’s resurgence under Ronald Koeman, his deal set to expire at the end of the 2021-22 season.

According to reports in Spain, Juventus are keeping tabs on the situation ahead of making an offer for the player in the summer.

South American midfielder is likely to depart from Arsenal this summer

Lucas Torreira’s father, Ricardo, believes that his son will push for a move away from the Emirates Stadium this summer even if he is unable to join Argentine giants Boca Juniors.

Uruguay international midfielder is currently spending the campaign on loan at Atletico Madrid, however, the Uruguay international has been unable to secure a regular role under Diego Simeone.

Earlier this month, Lucas Torreira revealed that he is keen on a move to Boca and hopes the Gunners will allow him to join the Argentine team on loan. however, Torreira’s father reveals that the cost of the deal could prove to be too much for Boca.

‘The arrival of Lucas Torreira to Boca will be quite difficult, there hasn’t been a movement of the situation,’ Ricardo Torreira told Show de Boca.

‘It happened only from a wish, we generated an inconvenience to Boca.

‘Probably, I don’t know if Boca are in a position to face what Arsenal will ask for Lucas’s loan. I don’t know… maybe for that money he can get a number 5 in South America.

‘Surely, I do not think Lucas will play for Arsenal this year.

‘If it’s not Boca, his destiny will be Italy or France.

‘We are left with the desire, instead of generating joy we generate an inconvenience to Boca’s leadership.’
