Arsenal are understood to be among a number of European heavyweights to be interested in the highly-rated Celtic winger Karamoko Dembele, and he’d be an excellent signing for the north Londoners.
According to TEAMtalk, Arsenal are interested in bringing Dembele to the Emirates in the future, after tempting Kieran Tierney to North London last summer.
The Gunners face stiff competition, however, with Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund and also eyeing a move for Dembele, who has impressed for the Scottish club’s Reserves this season upon his return from injury.
He would certainly be an excellent signing for the club, with the winger considered one of the hottest emerging talents at Parkhead.
The 16-year-old star has long been held in high regard at the club, and he has been hugely impressive for the Reserve team this campaign despite only recently returning from an ankle injury.
The Gunners will hope the interest in him cools, however, as his market price could rise to a large fee should the likes of PSG, Dortmund and Juve all look to make a move.
Meanwhile, according to The Sun, Arsenal have also registered interest in Krylia Sovetov striker Aleksandr Sobolev, sending scouts to watch the star score a brace in a 2-0 win over PFC Sochi.
Reacting to Manchester United and Arsenal’s interest in him, the 22-year-old star told Sport Express: “I was told after the Sochi game that Arsenal scouts came to see me. In my opinion this is true.
“I am not 100 per cent sure, but this is what I was told. They said that the scouts were sitting in the stand. Manchester United’s interest? I can’t even imagine how this could be.”
