Arsenal prospect Charlie Patino will apparently stay at the Emirates, despite reports linking the Englishman to La Liga giants Barcelona.
The 17-year-old is considered as one of the brightest prospects in European football.
Patino signed for the Gunners from Luton Town as an 11-year-old and has flourished in the north London side’s academy.
He has played nine matches for the Arsenal U23s and appeared in the EFL Trophy last campaign.
According to football.london, he is not going anywhere. Charlie is really lighting up the youth sector scene at Arsenal right now.
He penned his first professional contract with Arsenal last October. Patino’s likely to sign a kind of add-on deal in October on his 18th birthday.
Charlie’s really impressing his Gunners team-mates in the senior team. The first-team players are giving him advice so he is clearly impressing.
A number of clubs right now are looking at the Englishman because the player’s setting the academy scene on fire.
Charlie grew up supporting the La Liga giants Barcelona and qualifies to play for Spain as Charlie’s paternal grandparents are both Spanish.
Patino has been a regular for the England youth sides and captained U17s to a 1-1 draw against Spain two years ago at the age of just 15.
