Arsenal have allegedly begun work on putting together a summer deal to sign Wolves midfielder and Liverpool target Ruben Neves.

According to a recent report by the Times, the Portuguese star is available this summer with the Molineux outfit eager to raise funds to rebuild the roster.

His fellow countryman Nuno Espirito Santo left the club at the end of last season. As reported by The Athletic, the club management would allow Neves to leave for £35 million this summer.

Arsenal are expected to sell multiple central midfielders this summer, including the likes of Matteo Guendouzi, Granit Xhaka and Lucas Torreira.

Liverpool-linked star has been one of Wolves’ best performing players since the team’s return to the Premier League back in 2018.

The Portugal international was part of the squad that had a stunning run in last year’s UEFA Europa League leading interest from Jurgen Klopp’s side.

A long-term target for the Reds as reported by the Mirror, Ruben could be one of the league’s most sought-after players after impressing with his club.

The 24-year-old versatile midfielder hit five goals in the top-flight last season and has made over 175 appearances for Wolves.
