Arsenal are in the race for Atlanta United’s Miguel Almiron along with Newcastle United, West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur.
El Intransigente claims the 24-year-old Miguel Almiron wants to move to either West Ham United or Newcastle United, not Tottenham Hotspur or Arsenal.
The Major League Soccer side want $30 million (£23.5m) as transfer fees to part company with the attacking midfielder, who is claimed to be earning $2m (£1.57m) per year as salary.
El Intransigente has further claimed that the midfielder wants to join either Newcastle or West Ham – and not Tottenham or Arsenal – as he would get more playing time at the Magpies or the Hammers.
Miguel Almiron is one of the best attacking midfielders in MLS and has been playing well for Atlanta this season.
The South American has netted 13 goals and provided 11 assists in 36 MLS matches for Gerardo Martino’s side this season, according to WhoScored.
The Paraguay international would be a very good signing for any club in the Premier League as he is fast and technically-gifted but this news would be a huge blow for Arsenal chiefs.
