Arsenal still interested in signing of Bundesliga’s 20-goals striker

Arsenal are keeping a close eye on Bayer Leverkusen’s Patrik Schick over a summer transfer, although Die Werkself are set to demand a sizeable fee for their prized asset, according to Jeunes Footeux.

Strengthening the striker position remains at the forefront of Mike Arteta’s plans, with the club set to have a shortage of stars in the final third.

The Gabon international Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has already quit the club, while Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette, have expiring deals in the summer. Both the attackers are expected to go for nothing.

And the Bundesliga centre-forward has become the latest star to see his name taken in connection with the Londoners.

He announced himself after a brilliant UEFA Euro 2020 campaign last year, netting five goals in the tournament. The player has taken the international form into the club term, with his 20 division goals glowing proof of that.

Naturally, the Czech Republic international’s market value has skyrocketed during this period, and the Germans might demand a huge fee if potential buyers come knocking on their door.

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City were ready to pay €50 million if the latest reports are true, although Gerardo Seoane’s side might want around €60 million for him.
