Liverpool and Arsenal will reportedly have to cough up a fee of £40m to secure the services of Brighton & Hove Albion playmaker Yves Bissouma in the summer.
The 24-year-old continues to impress with assured performances in the heart of the Seagulls’ midfield area, where he boasts one goal from 34 Premier League games this campaign.
Graham Potter’s team have ensured top-flight survival for the 2021-22 season, however, Bissouma is still being rumoured with a move to a European-chasing club.
However, a recent report suggested that the Gunners could be priced out of a move for the Mali international, and The Sun now suggests that Brighton are demanding £40m for one of their most prized assets.
The report claims that Brighton are keen on keeping hold of Bissouma, however, the Seagulls are aware that they might be powerless to stop him from leaving for the right price, and they have already identified a possible replacement in the form of Reading’s Josh Laurent.
Bissouma still has another two years left before his contract expires at Brighton deal, and Man City have also been credited with an interest in the former Lille star.
