Arsenal are reportedly planning to make a summer move for Ajax full-back Nicolas Tagliafico.
The 27-year-old defender has hinted that he could depart from the Dutch giants during the upcoming summer transfer window, and La Liga giants Barcelona have been heavily linked with a potential switch in recent weeks.
However, according to The Sun, the Gunners are also in the hunt for the Argentina international defender, with Mikel Arteta’s side weighing up a £20m swoop during the summer transfer window.
The report suggests that Mikel Arteta is keen on to bring a new defender to the Etihad Stadium during the summer transfer window to allow Bukayo Saka to make a return to an attacking role for the club.
The 27-year-old defender is allegedly ‘open’ to make a switch to the Premier League this summer, while Ajax chief executive Edwin van der Sar recently dropped hin that the South American would be allowed to depart for the right price.
The ex-Banfield starlet has managed to found back of the net 12 times and provided 15 assists in 99 games for his Dutch team since arriving from Independiente back in January 2018.
Arsenal’s direct Premier League rivals Chelsea have been also linked with a summer move for Tagliafico.
