Serie A giants AS Roma have reportedly contacted Chelsea regarding a potential contract for Spanish winger Pedro Rodriguez.

As a result of less than six months left on his current deal, former Spain international forward is free to speak to teams regarding a free transfer at the end of the current campaign.

However, while MLS League club Inter Miami and Japan team Vissel Kobe have been rumoured with the Spaniard, it appears that the 32-year-old may still depart from Stamford Bridge this month.

According to Sky Sports Italia, Serie A giants have expressed an interest in securing the services of the ex-Barcelona man for a cut-price fee.

With Italy international forward Nicolo Zaniolo having been ruled out for the campaign, the Serie A heavyweights are keen to bring in a replacement, either on a short or long-term basis.

Despite Spaniard being restricted to just eight starts and four appearences from the bench this campaign, the Blues are only likely to sell him if they can bring for his alternative.

Meanwhile, Frank Lampard has urged Chelsea to find a solution to over Willian’s situation at the club, with Tottenham circling the Brazilian forward, according to the reports.

The 31-year old is out of his current deal at the end of the current campaign and he has yet to negotiate with the team chiefs over a new contract, having come to an impasse in talks with the West London club
