La Liga giants, Atletico Madrid reportedly want either Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or Alexandre Lacazette or if they are to sanction Kieran Trippier’s possible move to Arsenal.
The North London giants are still hoping to offload Hector Bellerin before the August transfer deadline, and £34m-rated Trippier has supposedly been identified as an ideal replacement.
However, with the Gunners already spending big on five players this summer, they will supposedly have to entice Atletico Madrid into accepting a swap or player-plus-cash deal.
According to The Sun, Spanish giants will only accept Lacazette or Aubameyang in any deal for Trippier, whose association with the Spurs could also complicate a move.
Furthermore, the report adds that the Gunners are not in Atletico Madrid’s good books following last year’s swoop for Thomas Partey, and Mikel Arteta does not have a replacement attacker lined up if Lacazette or Aubameyang depart.
Trippier set up six goals en route to the La Liga crown last campaign, however, he has only made two substitute games in this season’s top flight.
Meanwhile, Arsenal boosted in their pursuit of Lyon playmaker Aouar who is reportedly available on a loan deal this summer with an obligation to make his move permanent next season.
