Barcelona are reportedly ready to make move for Manchester United wonderkid Arnau Puigmal.

At a time when the first team are struggling for consistency, the Cataln giants officials are keen to bring in experienced players during the January transfer window.

However, according to Sport, the Spanish heavyweights will also look to strengthen their youth setup, particularly on the defensive end.

That has seemingly led to interest being shown in Puigmal, who has joined the Red Devils from Espanyol back in 2017.

While the 19-year-old is yet to make a single appearance for the senior side, the Spain U-19 international is highly regarded at Old Trafford.

Nevertheless, he has just over six months left on his current deal, putting the English team in a position where they may struggle to retain his services.

Meanwhile, Manchester United playmaker Jesse Lingard could reportedly depart from Old Trafford when the transfer window will be re-opened in January.

The 27-year-old playmaker has only played two EFL Cup games for the 20-times English champions this campaign, while he has not even been involved in a Premier League team since the start of October.

According to The Mirror, The Red Devils could look to move the versatile playmaker on during the winter transfer window as they run the risk of losing him on a free transfer.
