According to Don Balon, Manchester United want to sign Barcelona left-back Jordi Alba.
Jose Mourinho wants to sign the Spain international to bolster his back line at Old Trafford in the January transfer window. The same source also reported that the 29-year-old is obsessed with a move to Old Trafford taking into consideration his current uncertain situation at Nou Camp.
The speedy full-back is one of the best defenders in the world and has won every major trophy with Barcelona, and the Catalan giants must hold on to him no matter what. As far as his national career is concerned, Jordi Alba has played 66 times for Spain and scored eight goals.
This season he appeared in three La Liga matches and directly contributed in as many goals (1 goal and two assists). The Spaniard’s contract with the club will expire in less than two years (June 2020), and a mammoth clause of €150 million (£134million) is included in the deal.
Meanwhile, France Football reported that the Red Devils are looking to sign World Cup winner Lucas Hernandez, who has a huge release clause of £72million in his contract and Atletico Madrid will be adamant to sell the key defender.
