Barcelona have reportedly joined Man Utd in the race to sign Ajax starlet Ryan Gravenberch.

Despite having only turned 18 in May, Gravenberch is already a starter at the Dutch heavyweights, playing a total of 23 games in all competitions.

Manchester United have recently been rumoured with a move for the teenager as they consider their options when the transfer window will be re-opened in January.

However, according to Tuttosport, Barcelona are confident of emerging as the frontrunners for the player, who is represented by football super agent Mino Raiola.

Man Utd hold a strong working relationship with the agent, something which could help them to get the deal don.

Barcelona are also said to be monitoring the situation ahead of a potential big-money approach in the summer.

Meanwhile, Barcelona are reportedly ready to make move for Manchester United wonderkid Arnau Puigmal.

At a time when the first team are struggling for consistency, the Cataln giants officials are keen to bring in experienced players during the January transfer window.

However, according to Sport, the Spanish heavyweights will also look to strengthen their youth setup, particularly on the defensive end.

That has seemingly led to interest being shown in Puigmal, who has joined the Red Devils from Espanyol back in 2017.
