Bayer Leverkusen yet to receive any offers for Kai Havertz, this according to German club’s sporting director Simon Rolfes.
Speaking to Sky Germany, Rolfes has revealed the club are yet to receive an official offer for long-term Chelsea target.
The 21-year-old German has been one of the brightest talents in European football at the moment and hosts of teams are circling around him.
Coming on the back of a sensational 2019/20 season, in which he has managed to score 17 goals and create 9 assists in 43 appearances across all competitions, Havertz has emerged as a top transfer target for Chelsea ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.
Recent reports had suggested that Chelsea had agreed on a transfer fee with German club for Leverkusen midfielder. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case as Simon Rolfes confirms that teams haven’t received any offers.
“So far we have no offer. We know about the interest of clubs, but there is no official offer.”
Rolfes than insisted that German playmaker would remain at the club until their Europa League season ends next month.
“We have said several times that we will end the season with our entire squad. And that includes Kai. That goes without saying for us.”
Having already secure services of Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech shown their ambition ahead of next campaign. Adding Havertz to the side will turn the Blues one of the contenders of the Premier League trophy.
Leverkusen value the 21-year-old at €100m.
