Bournemouth key man emerged as shock transfer target for Liverpool

Liverpool are reportedly ready to challenge their Premier League rivals Arsenal in the race to secure the services of Bournemouth forward Ryan Fraser.

With less than three months left on his current deal, the Scotland international playmaker is expected to depart from the Vitality Stadium on a free transfer in 2020.

While several teams have been rumoured with an approach for the Scottish forward, talkSPORT reports that Arsenal are regarded as the favourites for the 26-year-old star.

However, the report adds that the Merseyside Reds are yet to rule out a move for Fraser as they consider him as a perfect replacement for Xherdan Shaqiri and Adam Lallana.

Although the Wideman starred for Bournemouth the last campaign, just one goal and four assists have been contributed during the current season.

Arsenal and Liverpool both will need to strengthen their offensive end for the next season in order to challenge the silverware and Fraser seems to be a perfect option to increase their depth.

Another Premier Leauge forward Adama Traore has been rumoured with a switch to Liverpool, while his teammate Rau Jimenez has been on the radar of Mikel Arteta as he considers him as a perfect replacement for Piere-Emerick Aubameyang
