Brazilian centre-forward Gabriel Jesus has been spotted wearing Arsenal’s No.9 kit at the Emirates Stadium ahead of his £45 million switch from direct PL rivals Manchester City.

The Brazil international has been Mikel Arteta’s No.1 transfer target this summer as Arteta is keen on strengthening his offensive end after the departure of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.

Jesus, meanwhile, had just one year left on his current deal with City, however, was looking to deaprt from the Premier League champions to to secure more playing time ahead of Brazil’s World Cup season in Qatar later this year.

Arsenal agreed a £45m fee with the Citizens last week, while Jesus finalised his medical with the Gunners this week.

And now it appears the Gunners are on the verge of unveiling their latest signing as Jesus was spotted in full kit at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday.

The 25-year-old forward was wearing the No.9 jersey, which was vacated by French striker, Alexandre Lacazette who left the Gunners and returned to Lyon on a free transfer earlier this month.

Jesus is set to become Gunner’s fourth signing so far this summer following the arrivals of Fabio Vieira, Marquinhos and Matt Turner.
