Barcelona legend Rivaldo has explained why the La Liga giants should not sign Paul Pogba from Man Utd.
The 25-year-old Frenchman was dropped from the Red Devils starting XI towards the end of last season and it’s believed the Frenchman’s relationship with Jose Mourinho has broken down in the recent month.
While Jose Mourinho insists he’s ‘never been happier’ with a Frenchman, reports suggest the pair had a bust-up during the training session ahead of the Brighton clash.
The Spanish giants have been alerted to Frenchman’s situation, however, Rivaldo, who made 235 appearances for the Nou Camp outfit, believes his ex-club do not need former Juventus star.
‘Paul Pogba is a very good player,’ the Brazilian icon told Sport.
‘But I do not think Barcelona needs to recruit him now. The club has signed two excellent players with Arturo Vidal and Arthur. ‘I think they have a good team to start the coming season.’
Meanwhile, Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho has rubbished rumours over his stressed relationship with the world-cup winner and has ruled out his exit from the club.
