Chelsea have reportedly identified Brighton & Hove Albion defender Adam Webster as their transfer target for January.
Fofana was signed by Chelsea on the deadline day of the summer transfer window in order to strengthen their back-line, however, new Chelsae boss Graham Potter is keen on to add another centre-back in January.
Chelsea are understood to have drawn up a list of transfer targets, with Man Utd under-fire captain Harry Maguire also appeared on the radar.
According to the Daily Mail, Brighton centre-back Webster is another name who has been on the shortlist of Graham Potter.
A report back in January reported that the Blues identified the 27-year-old as a potential target ahead of the 2022-23 season, and they still hold their interest in the Englishman.
Webster has become a key player under Brighton former manager Graham Potter since joining the club from Bristol City for around £20m in the summer of 2019.
The 6ft 3in centre-back played 91 games for the Seagulls across all competitions, founding back of the net seven times including a header against the Blues in a 1-1 draw at the Amex Stadium last term.
