RB Leipzig could allegedly look to seal a loan deal for out-of-favour Liverpool attacker Divock Origi in the January transfer market.
The 25-year-old star has provided the Anfield outfit with some memorable goals down the years, but the Belgian has started one Premier League game for Jurgen Klopp’s side this term.
Wolverhampton Wanderers were said to have been keen on the Liverpool man as they search for a new centre-forward, although a recent report stated that the West Midlands outfit have now abandoned their pursuit.
However, Divock has supposedly caught the eye of another European club, with German outlet Sport Bild stating that Leipzig have shortlisted the Reds’ attacking outcast as an ideal signing.
Manager Julian Nagelsmann reportedly wants to add more firepower to the team between now and the end of the month, with Nice’s Kasper Dolberg and Leicester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho all rumoured to be potential targets for Die Roten Bullen.
Origi has only scored one goal for the Premier League champions this season in the EFL Cup, and his current contract will expire in June 2024.
Meantime, Liverpool are reportedly readying a move for the highly-rated RC Lens centre-back, Loic Bade.
That is according to French source Le10Sport, who claim that Liverpool have been actively sounding out a potential transfer at the end of the season.
Klopp’s options at centre-half have been heavily depleted this campaign due to the injuries to Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez and many believe the Reds need to bring in a defender this month.
